Experiment #42 in fear.

As an integral part of this production, we needed very brave souls who wished to purchase advance tickets to sign a waiver – just to, you know, cover our bottoms. The waiver stated that they acknowledged they may be gently stalked and bits and pieces of their world became part of the play.

THE FEAR PROJECT

A collective creation.

Directed by Nicholas Walsh & Paddy Gillard-Bentley
Text Development by Gary Kirkham
Sound Development by Meaghan Bunce

Steph-Marie Szenasi
Kalene Ticknor

The piece investigates a series of fears that many women identify with in a western society, and asks the question,

"How does fear inhibit our ability to connect?"

Social expectations of physical attractiveness, heterosexuality, and motherhood are so prevalent in a culture wrought with conservative ideology; it is only when the fear of adhering to these social expectations is identified within and later embraced, that we can truly feel what it means to be free. Featuring a cast of six women, 'The Fear Project' is at times very real, at others surreal – but above all, call it theatre for social change.

Fear is separating. Fear is exclusive. Yet we all share it.

HAUNTING THE PENUMBRA

A Surrender Dorothy Production

Written & Directed by Paddy Gillard-Bentley

With Lindsay Stewart

Performed by

Jeff Ulrich

A sane person might confront their demons, Julian embraces his and rides them like a black stallion. Is it the culmination of many narcissistic past lives ripe with sin and crime that chisels away at the soul? Or was he born without one?  A dark and fascinating adventure inside the mind of Julain Cimmerian when he questions who is responsible for his state of being. Is it God?

When it comes to delving into the minds of others, even those you consider friends, some bananas shouldn't be peeled.

PSYCHO'S CROSS

A piece of epic theatre weaving in and out of and against a backdrop of the high moral standards, economic policies, and ethical abuses practised in semi and fully privatized heath care organizations in the US and Canada — cross pollinated with the shooting / projection of an adult version of Snow White.
